Healthcare in Israel runs through your kupat cholim (health fund). All four funds have branches across Netanya, and the city has its own hospital, Laniado, in Kiryat Sanz.
Signing up
Choose a fund at the airport, or later at a Postal Bank branch, within 90 days of aliyah. After 90 days, you register at the Bituach Leumi branch, 68 Herzl St (olim2netanya (opens in a new tab)). The funds' phone lines: Clalit *2700, Maccabi *3555, Meuhedet *3833, Leumit *507 (same source).
The directory lists 16 health fund branches, taken from the funds' own branch pages (Clalit, Maccabi, Leumit) and from directories for Meuhedet. When choosing, the distance to your nearest branch matters, especially without a car.
The hospital
Laniado (Sanz) Medical Center in Kiryat Sanz is Netanya's hospital. It is a not-for-profit run according to halacha and serves over 450,000 people in Netanya and the Sharon, with a 24-hour emergency department (Wikipedia (opens in a new tab); City of Netanya (opens in a new tab)). See the listing.
After hours and on Shabbat
- Terem Netanya, 17 Stampfer St (3rd floor of the Leumit Lev HaIr building): evenings, Friday afternoon and Shabbat. Listing.
- Clalit urgent care, 8 Raziel St: evenings, and Shabbat morning and evening; there is a fee. Listing.
- Maccabi's daytime trauma centre, 21 Binyamin Blvd, for minor injuries on weekdays. Listing.

The municipality also publishes an emergency-hours list for the main clinics, for example Leumit (9 Stampfer St, 08:00-15:00) and Maccabi's main branch (21 Binyamin Blvd, 08:00-19:00). These are emergency hours, so check normal hours with your fund (City of Netanya (opens in a new tab)).
Pharmacies at night and on Shabbat
Netanya's pharmacies rotate late-night and weekend duty. The city publishes a monthly duty roster (a Word file) and a "duty pharmacy today" box on its site (City of Netanya (opens in a new tab)). The directory lists 11 pharmacies from the October 2026 roster.
French- and English-speaking doctors
- French: the Assurances Israel directory flags French-speaking doctors as "confirmed"; I only used those rows (Assurances Israel (opens in a new tab)). Filter the doctors by French in the directory.
- English: English-speaking professionals are thin in the public sources. Leumit's page for Dr. Irena Offengenden (allergy) states English and Russian. Leumit and Maccabi's own doctor searches can filter by language, so try those first.
