The main areas
- Around Kikar HaAtzmaut and Gad Machnes St (city centre seafront). The densest cluster of hotels, a few minutes' walk from the square, the promenade, the sea elevator and the central beaches. Examples: Residence and Residence Beach (16-18 Gad Machnes), SeaNergy (14 Gad Machnes), Margoa (9 Gad Machnes), Blue Weiss (22 Gad Machnes), David Tower and Park Hotel on HaMelech David St, Leonardo Plaza.
- Nitza Boulevard (north of the centre). Quieter clifftop promenade with the Seasons and Medi Terre hotels.
- Sderot Oved Ben Ami and the south. Island Suites is on the seafront road south of the centre; the Vert Lagoon resort is on the cliff further south, and a group guest compound operates at the Green Beach in the far south.
All examples are in the Where to stay directory with their sources.
Kinds of stay
- Seafront and chain hotels with pools, spas and kids' clubs (for example Leonardo Plaza, Vert Lagoon, Island Suites).
- Boutique hotels (Medi Terre, SeaNergy, Alma, Kikar).
- Family-run and smaller hotels (Margoa, Mizpe Yam, Orit).
- Adults-only: David Tower Spa Hotel takes guests aged 16 and over.
- Several hotels have a synagogue and kosher dining and host Shabbat chatan and family events; Hebrew Wikipedia notes that much of Netanya's domestic tourism is families booking hotels for weddings, bar mitzvahs and Shabbat chatan (Hebrew Wikipedia (opens in a new tab)).
No hostel in Netanya could be confirmed from a public source.
Short-term rentals
If you prefer a flat, use the "search short-term rentals" links on each neighbourhood page, read the cancellation terms, and check whether the building has a Shabbat lift if you need one.
Tips
- The tourist information kiosk on Kikar HaAtzmaut and GoNetanya (opens in a new tab) list hotels in English, French and Russian.
- Several GoNetanya hotel pages were last updated in 2023; confirm details with the hotel before booking.
